It took me awhile..well actually a long time to read the 95 thesis. The reasoning why is because it took me awhile to actually get it. I had to read over it a few times to get where it was going. To a certain extinct I still dont get it but from my understanding and the ones that stood out the most were theses number 17, 21, 22, and 80
Theses 17 stated: "Companies that assume online markets are the same markets that used to watch their ads on television are kidding themselves."
-The market is constantly growing and forever changing as we speak so to say something regarding business and the market is the same 10 years ago should think again before restating that.
Theses 21 stated: Companies need to lighten up and take themselves less seriously. They need to get a sense of humor."
-I'm not trying to type-cast all Corporate Americans but a lot of the people get so caught up in their jobs that they forget their origins and where they started off at in the beginning. They tend to get so caught up in what they are doing that they loose their personalities and just become..fake.
Theses 22 stated: Getting a sense of humor does not mean putting some jokes on the corporate web site. Rather, it requires big values, a little humility, straight talk, and a genuine point of view."
-This one to me related to Theses 21. When some find out that others think they have a fake personality, they try to prove the rest wrong by doing things around the office to prove they are not "fake" and do have a "lively personality". But it just makes it even more faker than what it really is. Just be natural about it. Show your true colors and who you really are.
Theses 80 stated: "Don't worry, you can still make money. That is, as long as it's not the only thing on your mind."
-Some people go after the professions that brings in the most money and some do professions that make them happy. The ones that do choose the ones that make the most money just because it makes the most money,I feel are not truly happy at what they do. They may make the bill, but inside they aren't really liking what they do compared to the one who chose the profession that will give them consistent happiness.
